I shipped it to my Toyota dealership, but picked it up and installed myself. It arrived in about 3 days. On the provided ‘rebuild’; there’s a small brown piece, about the size of a cigarette, that hangs on a clip (temp sensor??) on the back of the battery near computer/fan. The clip provided was badly worn and did not hold the piece securely; and it mounted in a different location on the rebuild, about 1.5″ to the left. I had to rework a wiring harness on my car to make it long enough to fit. Also, be aware that the rebuild does not ship with a fan, you have to ‘reclaim’ your fan from your old battery (that’s a $320 fan, by the way…). Also, the shipping crate it arrived in was in poor repair (one missing fastener/closure, loose bolt/washer rattling around inside it…). Other than that; the install went well. I’ve only driven 40 miles on it so far, but looks like it’s working fine so far. based on what I know so far… I’d do it the same way next time.

The battery is awesome with new upgraded cells. But the battery does not come with a new fan like in the picture. You have to use your old fan or purchase a new one. If you use your old fan, be sure and clean it well inside and out. Other than that my car runs quieter because it is not constantly trying to charge up the battery. The battery stays charged up all of the time now. Our gas mileage has gone back up again to what it originally was. Installation was easy, watching YouTube videos as a must. Also, after disconnecting my 12 V engine battery and reconnecting it the JBL radio quit working. It says DVD map program not recognized. There are a lot of videos on it on YouTube but none of them helped so I had to purchase a used one for $265.00 to get it going. I suggest before replacing your hybrid battery purchase a DVD disk cleaner from Amazon and run it through your cars JBL radio CD player navigation system before disconnecting the 12 V battery because this is a common problem. They do not want to work ever again because of a because of accumulated dust inside after disconnecting the 12 V battery. Good luck and I hope this helps.
